The nation’s largest green consumer living event returns to Chicago celebrating its 10th Anniversary on May 14-15, 2011. Green Festival events will be held at Lakeside McCormick Place and are sure to engage, entertain and empower Windy City attendees once again.

Green Festival takes a well-rounded approach to celebrating “green,” from its awe-inspiring list of speakers to its green marketplace. “Whether you go to shop, learn, try new organic foods or experience art and music, Green Festival has it all, with the goal to motivate every person to think, participate and make more planet-friendly, sustainable choices in their every day lives,” says Green America and Green Festival Founder, Denise Hamler. In short, they spread the message of the impact of living sustainably and socially and economically-responsible, in a way that is truly celebratory.

Over 125 speakers are slated to inspire and educate during this year’s event; many leaders in the Chicago sustainability movement. Over 300 green and socially-responsible businesses and organizations will be showcased in the Green Marketplace, a place to shop all things green and/or fair-trade. Green Marketplace attendees can expect to browse and learn about products ranging from organic clothing to non-toxic home products to fair-trade treats.

This event marks the 7th year the city of Chicago has hosted Green Festival.  To learn more, please check Green Festival’s website at:
